The Flower and Art festival is open on Friday 14th, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th August from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm each day at the St Mary the Virgin Church in Bibury.
This year the Flower Arrangements will be based on a book title of the arranger’s choice, such as “The Hungry Caterpillar”, “Far From The Madding Crowd” and “Culpepper’s Herbal”. The arrangers are all based in Bibury or neighbouring villages. Flowers are chosen individually to represent the atmosphere and colour of the books.
We also hold our annual art exhibition at this time, exhibiting the artistic talents of many local amateur “painters” using many different medians from acrylic to water colour, oil, glass ceramic, paper and needlework. Some works are re-produced in card form, but most work is for sale.
All are invited to join us. Entry is free, although all donations are very welcome. Refreshments will be available.
Profits from the exhibition go to the Church Fund for the upkeep of our very historic building.
