Winchcombe’s annual celebration of music and arts runs from Monday 20 May to Bank Holiday Monday 27 May.
Art … Our ever-popular Art Trail is the largest yet. Look round local studios and savour the work on display. Feast your eyes on paintings, textiles, pottery, stained glass, and visit the eclectic sculpture exhibition.
Music … There’s a great mix on offer. Engage with invigorating bands like Slâinte and the popular Apple Mashers. Experience the jazz-influenced songs of Zoë Gilby. Enjoy the folksong-esque world of Colin Pitts and Issy Winstanley. Explore our classical collection: Lydia Kenny, 2018’s Gloucestershire Young Musician winner, joins us; Cirencester Philharmonia orchestra plays Mendelssohn and Haydn; the Carducci Quartet returns.
The Tudors … Discover Sudeley Castle’s long-lost Tudor garden; hear about the ‛considerable clothier’ John of Winchcombe; listen to Tudor music.
Family events … Come along to one of our workshops – pick up a ukulele or beat an African drum.
Street fair … The town buzzes with specialist stalls and lively entertainment on Spring Bank Holiday Monday.
