Join popular historian Tim Porter as he returns to Moreton Area Centre with a series of three afternoon talks focusing on local saints.
Each session will outline the life of a particular saint, examine the evidence of Medieval pilgrimage and ponder its wider significance.
The series begins on Thursday 23rd November with St Kenelm of Winchcombe, the boy martyr of Mercia and favourite saint of Medieval Gloucestershire.
It continues on Thursday 30th November with St Egwin of Evesham, a visionary, monastic founder and patron of pilgrims and ends with St Frideswide of Oxford on Thursday 7th December. Presiding spirit of the Thames Valley, her story is one of escape, survival and redemption.
Each lecture runs from 2pm – 4pm and booking is essential. Tickets cost £6.50 with a 10% discount for Museum annual season ticket holders.
