It's Time To Renew Your Garden Waste Licence

Residents in the Cotswolds are being urged to sign up now for the garden waste collection service for the start of the gardening season.

Thousands of residents are already using this service and there is still time to sign up. Residents can empty their food waste into licensed green garden waste wheeled bins too.

Mark Tufnell, Portfolio Holder for the Environment, said:
Our recycling and garden waste service is already very successful. So much so that we are expecting that we will have recycled more than 60% of waste this year the best rate in the county.

We cant be complacent though, we still need to do more. I would urge people who havent done so already, to sign up to the garden waste service or consider home composting. This helps reduce the amount we send to landfill, which is harmful to the environment.
