Cirencester pedestrian injured in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a female pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Cirencester in the early hours of Saturday November 19 reports the Gloucestershire Constabulary web site.
The 28 year-old woman, who comes from Cirencester, was in collision with a silver Nissan Almera in The Avenue at around 12.30am.
Following the crash the woman was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon by ambulance suffering from injuries to her head and legs.
She was later transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where she currently remains in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the Nissan, a 21 year-old man from Cirencester, was unhurt during the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Cirencester police on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 16 of November 19
