Cotswold Ice Cream Company opens ice cream parlour

With ever increasing numbers of visitors to the farm and being on two Cotswold walking routes and various cycle trails, The Cotswold Ice Cream Company have converted one end of their factory into an ice cream parlour.

May 3rd will see the official opening of the parlour, and also the launch of their delicious new ice cream flavour, Mint Choc Chip to add to their range of Fairtrade ice creams.

Mint Choc Chip has been created by popular demand is joining the ice cream range made with real mint bits as well as their delicious Belgian double chocolate.

Dani Slatter, founder of the company said We have seen so many people making the effort to come and visit us, and children especially love to see us making the ice cream so we thought it would be good to offer more to our visitors. So now they can stop and have a drink as well as an ice cream, visit the factory and buy ice cream and other farm produce. Our aim this year is to bring more customers to the farm so that we introduce them to the ice cream making and they can see our cow to carton process.

She continued: We spend a lot of time talking to our clients about what they would like from us, mint choc chip was a request from lots of children and the adults felt they would like to try some frozen yoghurt and sorbets. It is great that we have been able to use the milk from the farm and local fruit in these new ranges keeping to our organic and local ethics.

Cotswold Ice Cream is made in Italian style Gelato using milk from the Farm that is organic and right on the doorstep. Dani spent many months researching the market, becoming qualified in food production and sourcing her Fairtrade products.

The Ice Cream parlour will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Thursday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays.
