Power cut hits 1200 properties in Stroud area

A power cut hit around 1200 properties in the Stroud area during the night.

Amberley and Woodchester homes and businesses were affected and Brimscombe Primary School has been closed because it has no heating. Central Networks said teams had been working through the night to fix two faults on the network. Supplies are expected to be restored to all customers by late afternoon.

This is the second major power outage is as many days. Over 1,000 businesses and home were affected in Cheltenham yesterday
