Bromford launch Caf Ark volunteers wanted!

Residents at Ark House, supported housing for homeless young people in Stroud, are joining forces to open a new caf on Wednesday, 8 January.

The caf will run every Wednesday 10-1pm and 6-8.30pm and offer a range of activities in the revamped Ark House lounge at 60 Parliament Street, GL5 1DP.

Alexis Brooks, project manager, said: We decided to do this so that customers can make it their own and choose what they want to get involved in it could be cooking, fundraising anything!

The launch day next week will give everyone the opportunity to discuss their ideas. We want to keep it young and vibrant to appeal to the age range here between 16 and 24.

Bromford is looking for volunteers so if you are interested in helping out or if you can bring any particular skills to the group, call Ark House on 01453 756069.

Alexis concluded: We hope this will grow over 2014 and that it will help our customers to feel this is their home and that regular social events will build their confidence and aspirations.
