Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials Entries for international classes open

Entries open today (13th August) for the principal classes at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, which takes place from 17th-20th September 2015.

The Oxfordshire event stages two international three-star classes a CCI3*, and a CIC3* for eight-and-nine-year-old horses. Both are the most prestigious at the level in Britain.

Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and a bumper entry is expected. Many of the worlds top riders will be using Blenheim as an important part of their preparations for next years Rio Olympics.

Former winners who have declared their intentions to enter include William Fox-Pitt, who has won at Blenheim five times so far, Sir Mark Todd, the 2014 winner Francis Whittington, 2013 winner Aoife Clark, Pippa Funnell and Andrew Nicholson.

Event Director Mandy Hervieu said: Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials exciting tracks and excellent facilities have always attracted the worlds finest horses and riders. We are anticipating a sizeable entry from abroad, and it looks set to be a stellar event.
