Open weekend set for lift-off

The countdown has begun to a special event offering residents discounted entry to a host of visitor attractions across West Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.

The Welcome Open Weekend (WOW) is being held from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 April and covers a total of 23 attractions in both districts.

They include:

 Blenheim Palace, Woodstock

Crocodiles of the World, Brize Norton

 Bourton Model Village, Bourton-on-the-Water

 Cotswold Falconry, Moreton-in-Marsh

 Oxford Bus Museum, Long Hanborough

WOW offers residents a range of two for one vouchers to local attractions. The event has already proven popular in West Oxfordshire and it promises to be even better this year as it has been extended to cover the Cotswold District.

Cllr James Mills, Cabinet Member for Leisure at the District Council, said: This is a fantastic opportunity for residents to get out and about to sample some of the many attractions on their doorstep.

It promises to be a great family weekend with something for everyone.

To take advantage of the offers residents just need to pick up a discount voucher sheet from one of the local collection points.
