Appeal to Scrap Merchants After South Cerney Theft
Police are appealing for scrap merchants in the county to get in touch if anyone tries to sell them aluminium tile moulds stolen from a roofing company in South Cerney.
Between 10am on Tuesday April 18 and 8pm on Wednesday April 19 unknown offenders gained entry to the firm's compound in Broadway Lane, South Cerney, by cutting a 6ft wire fence.
Once inside they stole 10 pallets of aluminium tile moulds, comprising thousands of units, worth approximately 5,000.
Each mould is distinctive as it bears the word 'Redland', twice, and the figures BS473550.
Anyone with information about the theft, or who knows the whereabouts of any of the tile moulds, is asked to contact police on 0845 090 1234, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 188 of April 20.
