South Cerney road closed after chenical spill

The BBC is reporting that a cloud of acid fumes is hanging over South Cerney following a hydrochloric acid spillage.

Residents in Broadway Lane have been warned to keep their doors and windows shut. The lane has been cordoned-off and fire officers are on site working to make the area safe.

A Gloucestershire Police spokesman said although the chemical spill was professionally cleaned on Tuesday, fumes were detected early on Wednesday.
