Attempted Robbery In Chalford

Police are appealing for witnesses after three male offenders attempted to rob an 11 year-old boy in Stroud during the evening of Saturday October 14.

At around 6pm on that date the boy, who comes from Stroud, had been cycling along The Frith in Chalford when he noticed three males walking towards him.

The victim was pushed off the bike by one of the males before being punched in the stomach.

One of the offenders then attempted to ride off on the bike, but the victim was able to kick him and grab back his property.

He then rode away from the scene with all three offenders in pursuit.

All three males were white and aged between 16 and 20.

One was around 5ft 2ins tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded top, possibly of Nike make, and blue jeans.

The second male was around 5ft 11ins tall with a thin build. He had brown eyes and was wearing a navy coloured hooded top, black, three quarter length, trousers and white trainers.

The last offender was around 5ft tall and fat with straight brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black hooded top, navy blue cords and a gold or silver chain around his neck.

Anyone with information about the attempted robbery is asked to contact Stroud police on 0845 090 1234, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 588 of October 14.
