Fatal Collision - A40, Burford

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car crash killed two men on the A40 near Burford last night (18/12).

At around 8.20pm a red Toyota RAV 4 and a silver Mazda MX5 collided. The driver of the Toyota died at the scene while the Mazda driver died later after being taking by air ambulance to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The A40 was closed between the Burford roundabout and the roundabout with the B4047 to Minster Lovell until shortly after 2am.

Both the families of the deceased have not yet been informed. Their identities will be released by Oxford Coroner's Court.
