Dive online for a free swim in West Oxfordshire
Young people are being encouraged to make a splash and enter an online competition to win a free swim at any of West Oxfordshire District Council's leisure centres.
The Swim 100 Competition is being launched today, Monday 15th January, and is open to anyone up to the age of 16. All they have to do is visit the Council's website, www.westoxon.gov.uk, follow the homepage link and enter the competition by filling out an online form.
Entrants will have to complete three questions, answers to which can be found elsewhere on the website. Wycombe Leisure Ltd, which runs the District's leisure centres on behalf of the Council, will kindly give away free swims to the first 100 young people who correctly answer all three questions and submit their forms.
Cllr Tony Walker, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Tourism and responsible for young people’s issues, said: "The Council's leisure centres in Carterton, Chipping Norton and Witney have a great variety of facilities and swimming offers a fun way for children and young people to get fit and healthy.
"We hope as many young people as possible will take advantage of this incentive. I'd like to thank Wycombe Leisure Ltd on behalf of the Council for supporting this competition."
The Swim 100 Competition runs until 31st January 2007. Winners will be notified by email, along with details of how to claim their prize. Free swims must be taken within 28 days.
