Man Loses Life in Cirencester Fire

At shortly after 11pm on Monday January 29 police were informed of a fire at a house in The Waterloo, Cirencester.

The fire service were already in attendance when officers arrived, as were the ambulance service, and a man in his 80s was rescued from the property by firefighters.

Sadly he was declared dead at the scene and the Coroner and the man's next of kin have been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, however the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the fire service.
