Clarke out of Tory leadership race

Ken Clarke, former Chancellor, has been knocked out of the race to become the next leader of the Conservative Party. Clarke came fourth in the poll of Tory MPs gaining 38 of the 198 available votes.
David Davis was in first position with 62 votes, followed by Witney MP David Cameron with 56 votes and Liam Fox with 42.
There will be a further vote on Thursday when the three remaining candidates will hope to make it to the final two and go to a ballot of all party members.
