Man Dies In Cotswolds Crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a road traffic collision in the Cotswolds during the afternoon of Sunday April 22nd.

The deceased, a 49 year-old man from Cheltenham, had been riding a red and grey Suzuki motorbike on the A435 between North Cerney and Rendcombe when the bike was in collision with a blue Audi A4 estate car at around 1.15pm.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene and the A435 was closed between Perrotts Brook and Seven Springs for several hours to allow a police investigation to be carried out.

The coroner has been informed of the death.

The driver of the Audi, a man from London, was uninjured during the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, who hasn't already spoken to police, is asked to contact PC Parr of the Road Policing Unit on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 282 of April 22nd.
