Corinium Museum History Walks

With Tim Porter

Tuesday 15th May - 6pm � 8pm

Hawling - a shrunken village

Meet by the church

Join Tim Porter on a series of gentle, history themed, walks that will take you back through time. Each walk will last approximately 2 hours and will be a maximum of 2 miles long. There will be rest stops along the way.

Tutorial with a Writer
Wednesday 16th May
Corinium Museum, Park Street, Cirencester
2pm � 4pm

Find out about the art of writing at this tutorial with experienced writer, Rona Laycock. She'll be talking about her experiences as a writer, giving advice on where to start and how organise a writing project, as well as the mechanics of writing a good story and getting published.

Holiday Fun!
Pop-up Romans - a drop in family activity session
Wednesday 30th May, 2pm - 4pm
Moreton Area Centre, Moreton-in-Marsh

Create and colour a mini 'pop-up' Roman fort to take home.

Cost: Children �2, adults FREE! Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Drop in activities are run on a first come, first served basis as space is often restricted.

Roman Art in the Cotswolds
Part of the Corinium evening lecture series
Thursday 31st May, 7 - 9pm
Corinium Museum, Park Street, Cirencester

Join Dr Alison Brookes for a fascinating insight into Roman Art in the Cotswolds. The Corinium Museum houses an exceptional collection of objects which highlight the artistic qualities of the craftsmen working in and around Cirencester. This lecture will focus on the mosaics and sculpture found during the Victorian and later exploration of the Roman town and its surrounding area.
