Boy, 17, Assaulted In Stow

At around 1.25am in the morning of Thursday May 10 police were called to the main Stow Fair field, off Maugersbury Lane in Stow, following reports of a fight at that location.

Officers attending the scene met with a 17 year-old boy who had sustained facial injuries as a result of an assault.

The boy was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by ambulance where he received stitches to cuts to his face. He left hospital a short time after receiving treatment.

Reports suggest the boy had been in an argument with several males and had been struck in the face with an unknown implement.

Police are continuing their investigation into the assault. No arrests have been made at this time.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Stow police on 0845 090 1234, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 33 of May 10th.
