Distraction Burglars Hit Shop in Moreton

Police are appealing for witnesses after two men carried out a distraction burglary in Moreton-in-Marsh during the afternoon of Friday July 6th.

The men, who claimed to be French, called at the Flower Shop in High Street, Moreton, at around 4.25pm.

They distracted the shop assistant by getting her to come on to the street in front of the shop, allowing an accomplice to enter the premises and steal 200 cash from the till.

Once the theft had occurred the two men left the scene.

Both of the males were olive skinned, and around 5ft 6ins tall.

One of the offenders wore a light coloured tracksuit top, while his accomplice wore a blue top. Both were wearing jeans.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact Stow police on 0845 090 1234, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 396 of July 6th.
