Three Injured in Crash near Stow on the Wold

Three people have been injured following a road traffic collision between a lorry and a car on the A429 near Stow on the Wold.

The crash, between a white Citroen AX and a green and red Renault articulated lorry, occurred at the bottom of Stow Hill at around 8.40am on Thursday July 19.

The two occupants of the Citroen, a 23 year-old woman and a 20 year-old woman, both from Cheltenham, had to be released by the fire service.

Both sustained life-threatening injuries and both have been taken to Cheltenham General Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

The male driver of the lorry also sustained injuries and he is also undergoing treatment at Cheltenham General Hospital.

The A429 was closed.

Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 0845 090 1234, quoting incident number 97 of July 19th.
