Man, 35, Seriously Assaulted in Moreton-in-Marsh

Police in Moreton in Marsh are appealing for help in tracing offenders who seriously assaulted a man in the town during the early hours of Sunday August 26th.

The victim, a 35 year-old local man, had been drinking at the British Legion Club in Station Approach during the evening of Saturday August 25th.

He left the club after an altercation involving a number of people occurred on the premises between 12.15am and 12.30am on the morning of August 26th.

As he walked along New Road he was attacked by unknown offenders who left him with a broken jaw and cuts to his face.

He was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the assault or the altercation that took place in the British Legion club.

During this earlier incident a 19 year-old woman and a 35 year-old man, both from Moreton, sustained minor injuries.
