Man Dies After Crash on A417

A man has died following a road traffic collision on the A417 near Ampney Crucis.

The crash, between a blue Renault Clio and a pushbike, occurred shortly before 9.10am near the turning for Driffield.

The male rider of the pushbike was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by air ambulance where he was later declared dead.

The emergency services are still in attendance at the scene, and the A417 has been closed in the vicinity of the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 0845 090 1234, quoting incident number 114 of August 29th.
