Four stars for Witney Four Pillars Hotel

Witney Four Pillars Hotel is reaping the rewards of a recent million pound plus refurbishment after being granted a prestigious fourth star by the AA Hotel Recognition Scheme. Covering all guest areas throughout the hotel including leisure, dining and conferencing facilities, the revamp has provided a fresh and welcoming atmosphere with added convenience for visitors which impressed the AA inspectors. The schemes quality standards are agreed between the AA and tourist authorities including VisitBritain, and assess hotels on the facilities, service and hospitality.

The high standards set across the hotels facilities and services have taken Witney from a three to a four-star rating following an unannounced inspection. General manager Steve Jones is delighted: Considerable investment went into our recent refurbishment, improving not only the dcor and ambience but also the services on offer to our guests. To be recognised by the AA is also testament to the hard work of all the hotels staff and we hope we can continue to improve in the future.

Long-standing and valuable customer, Sue Allen from Valspar UK Corp Ltd commented "As a company we have been using Witney Four Pillars Hotel for our conference and event needs for several years now. We have found every experience pleasurable. We would recommend the hotel to anybody that is looking for a good quality establishment in the Witney area.

Witney now joins the Cotswold Water Park, Tortworth Court, Oxford Spires and Oxford Thames hotels as four-star rated hotels in the Four Pillars portfolio. All the hotels in the group, including Abingdon, boast a merit rating of over 70%, marking them out as excellent for quality and service. Four Pillars Chief Executive Charles Holmes commented; We are continually looking at ways to improve our service for leisure and business guests alike and a combination of investment in both refurbishment and our staff has contributed to our new star rating.
