Free Bike Marking - Stroud Street Surgeries

Officers from the Stroud Safer Community Team (SCT) covering the urban areas of the town are offering crime prevention advice and free bike marking at two street surgeries next weekend.

SCT Police Constables and Local Police Community Support Officers will be on hand at Victory Park, Cashes Green between 10.00am and 12.00pm and Park Gardens in Stroud between 1.00pm and 3.00pm, on Sunday, August 31.

Street surgeries offer residents in those areas the opportunity to come and speak to officers to express any issues or concerns they may have. On these occasions, an ultraviolet pen for marking bicycles will also be on offer for those wishing to secure their property.

PC Phillipa Jane Rawlings, who will be in attendance on the day, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for the SCT to meet and consult with local citizens and for local citizens to share their experiences and help take action on the matters they feel passionately about.

“Survey and surgery forms will be distributed on the day and where necessary all concerns will be followed up.”
