New Stroud cinema complete

A £3m cinema in Stroud with 6 screens is scheduled to open today (11th November 2005).
The cinema is owned by Apollo and completes the £23m refurbishment of Stroud's Merrywalks Centre shopping centre.
The previous cinema in Stroud, the Gaumont Cinema in London Road, closed more than 30 years ago.
The new cinema, and a 16-lane 10-pin bowling alley, have been built on the site of the old bus station in Stroud.
