Visit Cotswold Ice Cream On Open Farm Sunday

Hill House Farm, in Farmington - the home of The Cotswold Ice Cream Company - is taking part in Open Farm Sunday on 7th June 2009. In an initiative organized by Leaf (Linking Environment and Farming) farms across the county will be opening to give the public the opportunity to experience the workings of a farm.

They have entitled the day Cow to Carton as the Ice Cream Parlour will be open for people to see a demonstration of the ice cream being made. In addition, there will be guided tours to give everyone an insight into the dairy unit. There will be milking demonstrations,
opportunities to feed the calves or sit on a combine and the farm house garden will be open for refreshments in aid of Help for Heroes.

For those looking for some lunch, beef burgers made from their neighbours selection of prime Hereford Beef will be on sale and of course there will be lots of ice cream!

Open Farm Sunday is on the 7th June and the farm will be open from 10.30am 4pm. For further information, please call 01451 861425 or visit www.farmsunday.org
