Tetbury Wins Gold

Tetbury won a fourth consecutive gold in the Heart of England in Bloom campaign 2009 and was awarded category winner last week, being the best-of-the-best in the Small Town category, in which there were 10 entrants.

Sue Hirst, Chairman of the Tetbury in Bloom committee, said All the hard work has paid off. We were delighted to receive our fourth gold award in the regional in Bloom campaign and to be awarded Category Winner again for the second year in a row.

We could not have done it all without the support and commitment of so many people; everyone in the town seemed to be involved. On behalf of the Committee, I would particularly like to thank the Council grounds men and the band of volunteers, of all ages, who came out to help us. Tetbury has never looked so good.

Tetbury was also nominated for the national Britain in Bloom finals for the first time this year but must wait until 23rd September for the results.
