Pod Wins Rice Window Competition

pod in Montpellier, Cheltenham has won a national window design competition sponsored by Danish homewares company Rice. Thirty retailers entered from across the UK and pod was chosen as the winner for a vibrant and creative display of Rices Glamourama melamine collection.

Rice is known for colourful and funky home accessories and pod has been a stockist for 10 years. The Glamourama range offers a mouth watering selection of bold and bright melamine plates, cups, bowls and spoons. Best selling products this summer at Pod are the Flamingo Cups, Daisy Plates and Hen Bowls. Fun Fly Swatters and Chopsticks have also been a huge hit.
Perfect for alfresco dining, taking on picnics, camping holidays and childrens mealtimes, Rice products bring a sense of fun to everyday life.

Sarah Bunting, Store Manager says:
We are delighted to have won. We take great pride in our window displays and enjoyed having the challenge of making our Rice themed window the brightest and best ever. It was really fun to do and hope the retro icons of the Camper Van, Sunglasses and Peace sign brought a smile to peoples faces.

Birgitte, Judge and Stylist for Rice says:
Pod won this competition because they beautifully managed to bring the mood and spirit of Rice from within the store all the way out into the street. The window display with Rice, the nostalgia of the VW van, green grass on the floor and wonderful spring trees gave life, peace, kiss and glamourama to all things RICE
Pod will enjoy a prize of 1000 which will be put to good use buying some more of the fabulous Rice products for their customers to enjoy this summer.
