CDC gives grand support to Pudsey Bear and local charities

A recent fundraising event at Cotswold District Council has netted over 1,000 to be shared across three charities.

Staff from the Print and Design Services recently organised a coffee morning, blind auction and raffle at the councils Trinity Road headquarters in Cirencester to raise money for the BBC Children in Need appeal and the CDC Chairmans charities Gloucestershire Young Carers and the local branch of the Stroke Association.

Staff snapped up the sweet treats, auction items and raffle prizes on offer - many of which had a Pudsey Bear theme - and proceeds amounted to over 1,000 much to the delight of the CDC Chairman, Cllr Sir Edward Horsfall:

This was a magnificent effort and I am very grateful to everyone who gave so much of their time and money to support my two chosen charities and Children in Need. Events this year to support my two charities have received generous support and a total of over 2,000 has been raised so far with more fund raising ventures planned for next year.
