MP will kick start English Tourism Week with local calendar launch at Moret

On the eve of English Tourism week, local MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown will be visiting Cotswold District Councils Moreton Area Centre (MAC) to launch a special 2014 calendar which features unique views of towns across the Cotswolds.

Mr Clifton-Brown will visit the Centre to unveil the new calendar on Friday 15 March, the day before English Tourism Week gets underway. He will also present MAC staff with the Cotswolds Tourism gold award certificate in recognition of being assessed as the Visitor Information Provider of the Year following a secret shopper survey.

MAC Centre and Tourism Manager, Sally Graff, comments:
This is always an exciting time for us because English Tourism Week effectively marks the start of the new visitor season. Its a privilege to have been chosen to host the launch of the new Cotswolds calendar which features photographs submitted by the public in response to a competition. However, the icing on the cake for us will be receiving the gold award from Mr Clifton-Brown I am so proud of the staff here at the MAC and it is fitting that they should be rewarded for all their hard work and superb customer-friendly skills. Weve now been entered for the National Visit England awards in the Provider of the Year category and were crossing our fingers that we can achieve even more success.
