Green Business Award for Cotswold Training Venue

Cotswold Conference Centre, Broadway has received a national award for its many green business achievements. The venue was recently awarded a Green Business Tourism Scheme bronze award, after being judged against a rigorous set of criteria covering energy and water efficiency, waste management and biodiversity.

The training venue is the first member of Conference Centres of Excellence to take part in the Green Business Tourism Scheme, and one of the first conference and training venues in Worcestershire to receive an award.

Sales Manager Nick Akerman comments: We are very pleased to be the first dedicated conference centre in the Midlands to gain recognition from GTBS. We are always trying to minimize our impact on the special environment we have here. Clearly, nothing man does is ever environmentally friendly (apart from planting trees!) and generally, the UK hospitality industry is extremely wasteful. So it is very important that initiatives like the GTBS exist. It serves to keep awareness levels high of what we can all do.

Cotswold Conference Centre is the only Conference Centre of Excellence in the Cotswolds and holds 3 awards as part of the Quality at Heart scheme. For further details about Cotswold Conference Centre visit www.CotswoldConferenceCentre.com or call 0845 230 8580.
